 RENTAL GUIDELINE REMINDERS

  • Renter may use hooks in place on wood surfaces of the space. Absolutely NO tape, nails, tacks, command hooks or poster putty may be used anywhere on the interior or exterior of the hall. Please Note: Existing hooks can NOT be moved! Failure to abide by this will result in a fee of $25.00 per hook. 

  • Candles used indoors must be battery-operated/flameless.  An exception is made for a unity candle in the chapel.

  • No Mylar balloons or small confetti can be used in the hall. Latex balloons are acceptable. 

  • Real tossing petals are allowed outsideArtificial tossing petals must be used inside.  All petals, indoors AND outdoors must be cleaned by the end of the rental.

  • Ceiling decorations must be installed by The DeKoven Center. Requests must be made 30 days prior to the event and subject to approval.

  • Freestanding or staked signs outside on the grounds are welcome. Remove any exterior signs or decorations by end of rental or damage deposit will be forfeited. Do NOT adhere anything to existing DeKoven signs. 

  • Renter is responsible for removing any items/decorations that they brought in by the end of the rental period. The DeKoven Center IS NOT responsible for lost items or food thrown away at the end of the event. All food must be discarded per health regulations. 

  • Renter is responsible for clearing tables of trash, and removing litter on the grounds generated by the renter or guests by end of rental period. Place trash in provided receptacles and use recyclable containers. DeKoven Staff will move garbage bags out to dumpsters and clear DeKoven items from the hall. i.e.: Linens and Place Settings 

  • All renters are required to go through The DeKoven Center for beverage service. Outside beverages brought in will be confiscated and disposed of. Certain non-alcoholic exceptions may apply if approved by the Event Manager prior to the date of the event. 

  • Renters and/or guests are not allowed access behind the bar. A 3 compartment sink is located in the kitchen for water access. 

  • Doors may not be propped open with bricks, chairs, etc. Simply push exterior doors all the way open and door prop engages. Pull to shut. 

  • DeKoven staff WILL NOT break down tables or chairs. This is done by caterer or renters.
