Statement from DeKoven Center, Inc. Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of DeKoven Center, Inc. has voted to suspend one of its members, effective immediately, pending further investigation.

Last week, the Board was made aware of the arrest of this individual and subsequent pending criminal charges. This action has been taken in response to that information. We also wish to clarify that while this individual has described work as a consultant to nonprofit organizations, he has not performed any consulting work on behalf of DeKoven Center, Inc., nor has he represented the organization in that capacity. The individual has never had any access to our organization’s finances. The DeKoven Center’s business has not been affected by this matter.

At this time, this is an internal governance matter, and we are limited in what we can share. However, we affirm our commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct.

We are actively reviewing the matter and will cooperate with any relevant authorities as appropriate. We remain focused on our mission and on serving our community with care, transparency, and responsibility.
